BCP Christmas Carols

BPC host Christmas carols in the Upper Bucklebury Cemetery Chapel anually with mulled wine and mince pies to welcome in the festive season.

The ‘Mortuary Chapel’ was built in 1885 and is an early example of a building constructed from concrete. The original surrounding wall is also concrete and is mostly of Victorian origin with the cemetery wall being extended in the 1970s to create more space. The chapel was used for services and Sunday school until 1962 when All Saints Church was constructed. The chapel and walls are locally listed by WBC and the cemetery is maintained by BPC. If you would like further information please contact the Bucklebury Parish Clerk who is also the Cemetery Superintendent or the Bucklebury History Group depending on the nature of your enquiry.

The 2024 Charity is Chapel Row Community Service Group. This is a local charity that has been running for nearly 45 years. It provides support for people in Bucklebury and neighbouring parishes which includes two monthly lunch clubs and assistance with transport to medical appointments and shopping.
