To mark the D-Day 80 Commemorative events that took place in Newbury and the surrounding areas during June, a team of 13 photographers from Newbury Photography Club were despatched to record the various activities.

The project was instigated by Rob Carpenter, who had the vision of creating a Commemorative Photo Book, that would eventually be distributed to the many local organisations and individuals who took part in these events.

Local funding and support from the Good Exchange allowed 50 books to be printed, and they have since been delivered or presented. Some of the presentations are shown here together with a virtual copy of the book itself. One copy of the book was presented to Barry Dickens on behalf of BPC on the 9th December 2024.
